About the Dudley CD-ROM |
|
The Dudley CD-ROM was produced in the Summer
term 1995 by the Dudley Education Computer Centre. Originally intended for Acorn Computers, the CD-ROM provided a collection of two types of resource. The first was a selection of multi-media projects (!Magpie binders) produced by children in Dudley Schools; exemplars of work possible rather than tested curriculum materials. The second was a collection of photographs of areas of interest around Dudley, taken from the air and ground level. |
|
The photographs, themed selections
from submissions by schools, include the anchor from
the ill-fated Titanic to celebrations of the 50th
anniversary of V E Day, the end of the war in Europe. The photographs were scanned and converted to JPEG files, varying in size from 18k to 142k. It has not been possible to translate the multi-media projects to PC 'format', but the photographs are presented here, in their original groupings with the minimum of comment. |
