Bike Week 2006 will be 17-25 June and the Bike2Work promotion will run for the whole week. Details of events in Dudley will appear here nearer the time

Bike and Hike Breakfasts for Council employees take place in Bike Week at various council buildings across the Borough. These are organised by the Workplace Travel Plan Coordinator and the Road Safety Unit, with the support of the council employee's bicycle user group (Cycle 4 Work). Other Bike and Hike days also take place throughout the year (for example in Travelwise week). The aim is to encourage people to leave their cars at home and find out how easy it is to walk or cycle to work.
If you would like to hold a similar event we may be able to offer support - contact us to find out.

70 cyclists joined us for our family ride on the 11th June 2005. They were sent on their way by John Anderson, Head of Engineering, who also joined the ride. After completing the 6.5 mile circular route, cyclists enjoyed refreshments at the Bonded Warehouse, where information on cycling in the borough was also available. |
