Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council's Road Safety Unit is part of the Traffic and Road Safety Section.

The Road Safety Unit carries out a statutory responsibility under the 1988 Road Traffic Act to deliver a program of road safety education, training and publicity.

The aims of the Road Safety Unit are to help reduce the number and severity of road traffic casualties and to raise awareness of the way people travel. We encourage people to examine their current mode of travel and consider its effect on the environment and their own health and well being.
